Description |
This course is designed to equip students to setup and administer an installation of DB2 OLAP Server. On completing the course, students should have the skills required to recommend and implement configuration settings and carry out the daily tasks concerned with administration. |

Systems and database administrators concerned with planning, installing, configuring and administering DB2 OLAP Server. |
Prerequisites |
- Attendance on course DW60 DB2 OLAP Server Up and Running
or
- Attendance on an equivalent Arbor Essbase class and knowledge of DB2 OLAP Server implementation |
Objectives |
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Install DB2 OLAP Server and ODBC connections
- Recommend options for optimising DB2 OLAP Server performance
- Configure DB2 OLAP Server using RSM.CFG and ESSBASE.CFG files
- Alter DB2 OLAP Server settings using Application Manager and ESSCMD
- Administer users and their access to data |
