Duration |
2.0 Day(s) |
Description |
This two day workshop provides students with a "7 Element" framework for successful negotiations which has gained world wide acceptance. The course materials are based on extensive research conducted by the Harvard Negotiation Project, and the book Getting To Yes by Roger Fisher and William Ury. Each instructor works with, or has been trained by Conflict Management, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in negotiations and mediation facilitation/training. The course focuses on improving and enhancing the negotiation skills that each student already has and is using on a daily basis. Students use several case studies as the basis for negotiating with each other, then participate in instructor led reviews of the process. There are minimal "stand-up" presentations by the instructors since we believe that students learn by doing. A portion of class time is dedicated to working on the students' real life negotiations. |
Audience |
Anyone who wishes to improve their existing negotiating skills by learning a proven and well accepted framework for negotiations. While the class is designed for students with no formal negotiation training, the material serves as a valuable enhancement for students who may consider themselves experienced negotiators. |
