This hands-on workshop is a direct continuation and follow-on course to Basic Networking Skills Hands-on Workshop (NW03). In a similar easy-to-follow format, the student will continue to grow their network computing skills. Using hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and case studies, the student will gain a better understanding of today's network computing issues, and where networking is headed in the future . |

Prerequisites |
Basic Networking Skills Hands-on Workshop (NW03) or individuals with equivalent knowledge. |
Objectives |
Upon completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Configure a simple Token-ring network
- Perform simple network management requests on a network device
- Build a network using Token-Ring bridges and a backbone
- Explain the purpose of switches
- Describe the function of a router and how it differs from bridges and switches
- Interconnect classroom LANs using bridges, switches and routers
- State how to start and deploy ATM into an existing network |
