Description

This course teaches how to install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server V5.0. It also teaches how to deploy enterprise Java applications in single machine.

Hands - on lab exercises are provided throughout the course.

Audience

Webmasters and System Administrators who need to install, configure and maintain systems using WebSphere Application Server V5.0 in an iSeries environment.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, the student should have the following knowledge:

- An understanding of the World Wide Web and use of a Web browser
- Basic administration skills for a Web server (for example, Apache or IBM HTTP Server)
- Basic operational skills for the Windows NT or 2000 operating system and OS/400
- Previous versions of WebSphere Application Server
- Basic of Java programming
